Each year, two $1,000 scholarships are awarded to graduating students who are entering college.
The program is named in memory of James P. Callahan who was a long time member of our club, served as a council member and mayor of Southgate, as well as serving 18 years as the Kentucky State Representative for the 67th District.
Eligible applicats must be graduating seniors who live in the city of Southgate or are the children of Southgate Otimist Club members. Awarding of the scholarshops will be based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, community involvement, and an essay.
The completed scholarship applications along with other required documents should be returned by May 1st to:
